Dr. Patty Gabow, CEO and medical director of Denver Health, testified in front of a U.S. House of Representatives committee on the issue of health care reform Thursday.

Denver Health, formerly city-owned Denver General, has functioned as a separately managed authority since l997.
Gabow was the first woman to serve as a faculty member at CU’s Department of Medicine in 1973. She was appointed manager of Denver Health in 1992.
